Since we were homeschooling the kids and I were able to make it down to Idaho more than we normally would have. We went in the Spring and had a great time and great (not rainy) weather! The kids love playing outside there and they especially love being with cousins.

Abbie is so great with my kids and they had fun playing games with her.

Hank loved being around more boys and getting to read stories with Grandpa!

They all loved going to Uncle Gunnar and Aunt Sarah’s house especially when they found out that Gunnar switched out the battery on this tractor and so it goes much faster than it normally would. 🙂

We got a quick pic of Grandma and Grandpa with there 11 grandkids. Now they have 12!

Of course the kids were thrilled to ride horses and so was I! We even had ourselves a little rodeo when one of the horses that Maggie was riding started galloping around the arena. Luckily she held on tight and stayed on but it was a heart-stopping moment for her and I until Grandpa was able to get the horse under control.

She was super excited to go for a trail ride with Grandpa and was just a little nervous after the other horse galloping.

Vivi got loved on and held by all the cousins!

And that was a wrap for that trip! It was so fun to be there and I told the kids we would come back when it was warmer so that they could swim and hang out with cousins again.

Shortly after that trip I was able to fly down to Idaho with Viv for a quick weekend trip to Eastern Idaho for Shelby’s baby shower. I flew into Boise and my mom, Jamie, and Abbie picked me up at the airport and we headed straight to Shelby’s.

It was so fun to be there and to see cousins and aunts and to spend time with my mom and sisters.

It was also great to celebrate Shelby and baby Baylor!

Vivi was great the whole trip and loved being in on the “girl’s weekend”!

We also stopped by to introduce Viv to her Great-Grandpa. He’s my only grandparent left and he’s the best! He is one of the happiest people I know and had us all laughing most of the time we were there.

I had to take a couple of pictures of the pictures he had hanging in his garage because I remember both of them from my childhood. This first one was always hanging in my Grandma’s hair salon. The second one was hung in my Grandpa’s shop. My grandparents had the best sense of humor and their home was my favorite place in the world when I was growing up.

I sure do love this Grandpa of mine! I’m so glad I made the trip down. It was a blast and the kids ate up the time they spent with Bryan at home while I was gone.

A few weeks later we went down again to see cousins. We all rode horses again and Reese was pretty much obsessed.

I love how she is hanging onto Hank in this picture. She didn’t want to get off and asks when she can ride Chipper again all the time now!

We went back to Uncle Gunnar’s for more fun on his fast tractor. This is Hank living his best life. Chocolate all over his face, barefoot, and riding around on his tractor in Idaho. 🙂

He also loved hanging out with Rudy the dog.

Reese mowed the lawn with Uncle Matt for at least an hour and was thrilled to do it!

The kids got to go on multiple four wheeler rides….the babies always love it too.

I got some good “action shots” of the kids at the pool.

Uncle Matt taught the kids some golf and they were all really excited about it.

It was so fun being able to go to Idaho a couple of times this year. Since we know we are moving we are trying to soak up all the family time that we can while we are living closer. Seeing my kids with all their relatives makes me so grateful that I came from a big family. It is seriously the best.
