Maggie turned 8 on June 27, 2021. Because of Covid and the changing restrictions, we got permission to do her baptism at my family reunion in Island Park, Idaho. Maggie was baptized our first evening there and unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with our plans! Luckily, Maggie was a trooper and was totally happy to get baptized in the rain even though it was cold!

I snapped a couple of pictures of my glowing girl in her dress right before her confirmation.

She was so happy to be baptized and confirmed by her Dad and to have all of her uncles on both sides and both grandpa’s there to participate!

Bryan and Mimi gave great talks and Aunt Sarah sang a beautiful song and everything turned out great. It was so nice to have so much family there as well as Breba and Jones who are adopted into our family.

We had talked about Maggie singing a song for her baptism but she is really more of a dancer. She expresses herself through her dance and so we decided that she could do a dance after she was baptized and confirmed. My former mission companion, Dana, helped her choreograph a dance and Maggie practiced it SO much so that it could be just right. She did amazing and I was so proud of her! Most of all, I’m proud of her for making the decision to be baptized. I know that Maggie loves Christ and she is always trying to get better at following Him. She has a natural tendency to choose the right and I know that her faith will take her far in life.

After the baptism we had the rest of the weekend to hang out with my family! Even though it rained for a good portion of the weekend we still had a great time!

The kids were up for a 4 wheeler ride whenever Grandpa was willing to take them!

The back lawn was perfect for bow and arrows and the kids and adults all had fun participating.

Corn hole was also popular:

And of course the kids wanted Uncle Garrett to take them out tubing on his boat whenever possible!

Like usual, I didn’t take nearly as many pictures as I wanted to because I was too busy spending time with everyone. I’m so grateful for such a fun family and that we are all able to get together once a year to enjoy one another’s company. I am the luckiest!
