The birthday countdown has been going on for months around here and it seemed to tick by especially slowly during the month of June but FINALLY, Maggie turned 7! She could barely contain her excitement thinking about a full day of being celebrated. This girl deserves all the celebrating. She is such a great kid!

She has been such a good baby from the get go. Anything that I thought was difficult about her, I know realize was me and my lack of knowledge in parenting. 🙂

She’s always been smiley and happy.

She’s always had a love of nature and animals.

She has a sassy side that was especially strong when she was three but still spills out on occasion.

She’s not afraid to be silly and she knows how to have a good time!

She is a big time Daddy’s girl and loves spending one on one time with him. He is the one that can make her smile and laugh more than anyone else…and it has been that way since she was a baby. Maggie tends to be more serious but can’t help but laugh at her Dad’s ridiculousness (especially when he tells crazy bedtime stories!)

We both love to chat and play games and she is my biggest helper. I regularly tell her I don’t know what I would do without her! Maggie will always have a special place in my heart as the one that made me a mama.

She is curious and fearless. Between riding a sheep at the state fair to jumping in a freezing cold lake with her Dad, she is always up for an adventure. I am in awe of her bravery.

She is the BEST older sister and I know she came first for a reason. Her 3 (almost 4) younger siblings all adore her and she is so great at playing with each of them.

She is very obedient and hates to get in trouble. She always wants to do the right thing and I often have to remind her that it’s okay to make mistakes.

My favorite thing to do is to watch Maggie play pretend. Over the years, I have seen her turn the most random objects into “people” and get lost in her own world playing with them for hours. It’s especially fun to see her in action in nature. She loves thinking about fairies and Indians and loves pretending that she lives in the woods. She can play on a fallen tree trunk at the beach for hours and loves collecting insects and crabs and building homes for them. She has such a great imagination and her younger siblings all benefit from it!

You are my favorite 7 year old ever Maggie! I love you and am grateful everyday to be your mama!
